Description
An iconic landmark in Jamestown, Accra. The original lighthouse, erected in 1871, was later replaced by the current structure in the 1930s. It was designed to guide boats safely to shore, over time, it has evolved into more than just a navigational aid. The lighthouse stands as both a cultural monument and a popular tourist attraction.
